Course description

Whether you're looking for a few tips to take your sales sessions to the next level, or if you're a shoot n'burn photographer looking to make the switch - this course is for you!

The course has two chapters. The first is from the client's perspective and how they experience everything. The second chapter is about the process on our end, and how we move through a sale. You'll get a list of everything you need, tips for overcoming client objections - we even have a timeline for you so you know how long each part should take.

Melissa Welsh is a National Award-Winning BC Professional Photographer who lives in the beautiful city of Victoria. She studied in London, Ontario, and has since built a career creating commercial, portrait and wedding photographs.. She is a fun, free-spirited individual with a deep love for adventure. Her work can be found in private collections around the world as well as in regional, national and international publications. Her client list includes: CBC, Mountain Equipment Co-op, Kootenay Rockies Tourism, Westworld, BC Business, Climbing, Kootenay Mountain Culture and Explore Magazine.

In 2015 Melissa published her first book Pixel Cents: The Solution to Selling Digital Files for Photographers Around the World. She also developed pricing strategy software that supports the formulas in the book. It helps them connect their product and service pricing with their personal and financial goals. The book, e-book and software have received excellent reviews and the material is being taught around the world.

Melissa is a committed volunteer and dedicates much of her time promoting positive change in the photography industry. In the past few years she has served as the B.C. President of the Professional Photographers of Canada (PPOC), the Communications Chair for the PPOC and is currently the chair of the PPOC Island Branch.

When Melissa is not working or volunteering, you will find her adventuring on Vancouver Island with her husband and two young children.

This course and approach to projection sales is very cut and dry. You can easily follow it exactly how Melissa shows, or modify it to your needs. I used to think in person sales had to take hours and hours of time. Melissa's system would make it easy to do back to back sales sessions with breathing room in between. It's the start to finish process we needed, and we highly recommend it for anyone who wants to get started with in person sales.
